Your Present Suffering Is Nothing Compared With…

From today’s reading…

Brothers and sisters:

I consider that the sufferings of this present time are as nothing

compared with the glory to be revealed for us.”

Paul is writing to the Christians in Rome today in chapter 8 maybe 15 years after the death of Jesus. 

They had all accepted Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior…yet they were suffering. How can that be?

Because to be human means to have limitations, and to have limitations is to suffer. 

Anything worth doing is by its nature difficult. Anything worth documenting and sharing and repeating and emulating is by its nature difficult.

Spending eternity in the presence of God is the ultimate thing worth doing. Jesus gives us the path to that goal. Jesus gives us meaning to our suffering.

Stay the course. Keep the faith. Endure.
