With Effective Grace You Can Win The Race

From today’s reading…

But by the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace to me has not been ineffective.”

Paul was not proud of his actions back in the day.

In his letter to the Corinthians today he called himself…

as to one born abnormally,…the least of the Apostles, not fit to be called an Apostle,..

Why was he so hard on himself?

…because I persecuted the Church of God.”

How did he turn his life around and subsequently write about half of the New Testament—13 (maybe 14) of the 27 books?

Grace.

Like oxygen, it’s given to you and me freely and abundantly.

And also like oxygen, we can freely choose to avoid it, to not accept it, which means we choose death.

You’re not a homeless person living under a bridge.

You’re not addicted to crack, robbing convenience stores to get your next fix.

You’re not sitting on death row for a crime you didn’t commit.

But even if you are, understand that Paul was torturing and murdering people just because they had a different faith.

He was so arrogant that it took lightning and blindness for him to see clearly.

Maybe God is rubbing his feet on a big rug in the sky to build up a charge to send a bolt of lightning your way then speak to you about the error of your ways.

Maybe God is using this little daily post to help you…

Stay the course. Keep the faith. Endure.
