When You See, Jump Into The Sea

From today’s reading…

So the disciple whom Jesus loved said to Peter, ‘It is the Lord.’

When Simon Peter heard that it was the Lord,

he tucked in his garment, for he was lightly clad,

and jumped into the sea.” John 21:7

Jesus loves those who are on fire for Him. Mary anointed His feet and dried them with her hair. Now we see Peter leaving everything behind to be with Jesus.

Keep in mind that Jesus called Peter “an obstacle” and “Satan!” (Matthew 16:23, which was just a few verses after naming him “the Rock” and giving him the keys to the kingdom!) and we just read last week how Peter denied Jesus three times when He was under attack.

But Jesus loves Peter anyway because Peter has a fire in his belly for the Lord.

That’s all you have to do. Keep the fire alive and despite any and all of your failings and shortcomings, when you see Jesus, swim towards Him immediately because it’s the only way to…

Stay the course. Keep the faith. Endure.

Now go sell something.
