When God Says “Here I Am!”

From today’s reading…

Then you shall call, and the LORD will answer,

you shall cry for help, and he will say: Here I am!”

What must we do to ensure the Lord answers our call?

  1. Free the unjustly imprisoned.

  2. Lighten the loads and the burdens of the laborers.

  3. Free the oppressed.

  4. Share your food with the hungry.

  5. Shelter the homeless.

  6. Clothe the naked.

  7. Face those in need, look them in the eye, let them know they are seen, known, and recognized to restore their own lost and forgotten soul.

And that pretty much sums up how you create not only a direct line to God, but a line that He’ll pick up on the first ring.
