From today’s reading…

I am appealing to you for a child of mine, whose father I became while wearing these chains: I mean Onesimus.” Philemon 1:10

In today’s reading from Philemon 1 and Luke 17 we see mention of jail and suffering and rejection for following The Way.

Jesus is our spiritual father, our earthly father, and the bridegroom to His bride, us, the church. Likewise, His apostles and disciples become our spiritual fathers and like good fathers, they lead by example and suffer for their children.

Jesus suffered for us, Paul suffered for Onesimus, and we suffer for one another, if that’s what it takes, so we can all…

Stay the course. Keep the faith. Endure.
