To Prevent You From Sinning

From today’s reading…

My children, I am writing this to prevent you from sinning; but if anyone does sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ, the upright. He is the sacrifice to expiate our sins, and not only ours, but also those of the whole world.” 1 John 2:1-2

John reminds us that Jesus didn’t come to show us a cool party trick and ghost on us.

He came to do for us what we could not do for ourselves.

He came to show us how to participate in our redemption through willingly accepting the crosses in our lives, just as Jesus did, except He did it for us, rather than for Himself, out of pure love.

You are loved by the Creator of, the perfect model of, and the very personification of love, who will do anything and everything to help you choose to…

Stay the course.Keep the faith.Endure.
