To Be Rich, Come Together In Encouragement

From today’s reading…

…that their hearts may be encouraged

as they are brought together in love,

to have all the richness of assured understanding,…”

Paul “struggles” for those under his care and leadership.

He wants us to be rich in understanding, and when you really think about it, isn’t that all there is to being truly wealthy?

When you know your place and purpose in the world and how to go about achieving it, you are rich.

Paul knows that when we love one another, live in harmony with one another, and encourage one another, we are rich.

What he concludes today’s reading with is the reminder that God is a mystery, and that in Christ

are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.”

The reason God hides His treasures is because He knows we only value that for which we work to possess, and to understand God requires a lot of work.

And work this hard can become discouraging, which is why we must live and love together. Because encouraging one another is the only way to…
