They Are Too Heavy For Me

From today’s reading…

‘Why do you treat your servant so badly?” Moses asked the LORD.

…I cannot carry all this people by myself,

for they are too heavy for me.’”

Moses had seen burning bushes and interacted so closely with God that his skin turned radiant.

He parted the Red Sea, brought water forth from a rock, and saw Aaron’s staff turn into a snake when they were in front of the Egyptian Pharaoh.

Moses saw the 10 plagues and how the Israelites were saved during the first Passover.

Yet still he “was grieved” at the heavy burden of leading a selfish, self-centered, ambivalent people.

God knows when you are weary and He will give you rest so you have what it takes to…

Stay the course. Keep the faith. Endure.
