The Veil of Death Is Detroyed

From today’s reading…

On this mountain, he has destroyed the veil which used to veil all peoples, the pall enveloping all nations; he has destroyed death for ever.” Isaiah 25:7-8

Isaiah 25 and Matthew 22 each describe a feast, with Matthew’s being a parable about a wedding feast while Isaiah describes a veil, possibly a wedding veil worn by the bride.

We know that Jesus calls us His bride so it would make sense that Jesus comes to join Himself to those who are modest and obedient. Those who willingly and completely enter into the covenant He has also willingly and completely entered into on our behalf.

So celebrate that what stands between God and us has been destroyed forever for all who…
