Daniel reads like Revelation today. He’s seeing lions and bears and leopards, some with wings, some with four heads, some with plucked wings, some standing like a man, some with human minds, some with tusks for teeth who are told to “devour much flesh,”…and they weren’t even the most terrifying!!

Before you go getting all afraid and weak-kneed and scaredy-cat, guess which was the first beast to be slaughtered and thrown into the fire. 

It remained arrogant throughout the court proceeding, but the “one like a son of man” had no problem disposing of the big beast.

Then, for His own reason, He allowed the lesser, now-powerless beasts to wander about a bit longer.
