The Suffering He Passed Through (Willingly)

From today’s reading…

For the suffering he himself passed through while being put to the test enables him to help others when they are being put to the test.” Hebrews 2:18

There’s a reason recovering alcoholics lead AA meetings.

There’s a reason women who have been abused and assaulted are brought in to counsel and support abuse victims.

There’s a reason combat veterans come together to help those with PTSD.

The reason is we place more trust in those who have been there, done that, got the scars to prove it.

This is why Jesus had to come to us and willingly accept what we did to Him, namely, be wrongfully accused, tortured, abandoned, and killed.

He took on the worst we had to offer so He could help us…

Stay the course. Keep the faith. Endure.

Now go sell something.
