The Only Way To Fear Less

Yet, if we love one another, God remains in us,

and his love is brought to perfection in us….

but perfect love drives out fear

because fear has to do with punishment,

and so one who fears is not yet perfect in love.”

How many things do you do today without thinking twice about, but scared you to death previously?

Maybe it was riding a bike or performing in a recital or public speaking or juggling or writing or making live videos on social media.

Maybe it was learning how to dance or knowing what to say to the love of your life or being interviewed on podcasts.

If you take a moment you’ll realize how silly those fears were because you are probably quite good at most of the things that used to terrify you…like talking to—and getting to know, like, trust, and even love—strangers.

Maybe it’s time we remember the principle of Abraham Lincoln,

I don’t like that man. I must get to know him better.”

To fear less, love more, which is the only way to… 

Stay the course. Keep the faith. Endure.
