The Impotent Mutterings of the People

From today’s reading…

it is you who said through the Holy Spirit and speaking through our ancestor David, your servant: Why this uproar among the nations, this impotent muttering of the peoples? Kings on earth take up position, princes plot together against the Lord and his Anointed.” Acts 4:25-26

If you’ve read or watched documentaries on FDR, JFK, and Clinton, you’re amazed that they could get any “work of the people” done in between their skirt-chasing, marijuana smoking, and cigar exploits. Johnson was mean, racist, and full of crap.

Nixon was a paranoid crook. Ford just kept the seat warm until well-intentioned, but impotent Carter muddled through his term.

Reagan was probably battling dementia. Bush 43 was happy to invade anywhere with oil. Obama golfed 333 times while in office, or once every 11 days, while Trump played at least 150 rounds or once every ten days.

And don’t get me started on governors like Newsom, whose COVID-19 responses like shutting down churches have been deemed unconstitutional. Still, the attacks were made, the damage has been done, and their plans have been revealed to be the same plans the rulers in the time of David tried to foist upon “the Lord and his Anointed.”

And the sheep are just as impotent today as then with mouths full of marbles and heads nearly as empty as gourds. I say nearly as empty because what is in their heads is what was placed there by sources they do not even acknowledge exist. Anti-American sources. Anti-capitalist sources. Atheistic sources. Even eugenic sources. Not only do these marble-mouthed rattle heads allow themselves to be brainwashed and manipulated, but they also go into debt to become that way.

This is not new, nor is it news or even fake news. Peter is quoted today as he quotes David from Psalm 2:1-2. So do not expect these mutterings and plots against us to cease or even let up. If anything, expect them to intensify, which is why you must plan for the worst as you pray for the best, which is the only way to…

Stay the course.Keep the faith.Endure.

Now go sell something.
