From today’s reading…

So they left the presence of the Sanhedrin,

rejoicing that they had been found worthy

to suffer dishonor for the sake of the name.”

Peter and the Apostles were arrested, questioned, threatened, but ultimately dismissed because they were telling the truth.

They were right and they were committed to telling the truth, regardless of the price they might pay, because, like Obi-Wan Kenobi, they knew the Force was with them and that they’d be more powerful in death. (Is George Lucas Catholic?)

Jesus told the truth. MLK told the truth. The “Easter Worshippers,” a.k.a. the Catholics attending Easter Mass in Sri Lanka, were living the Truth when they were slaughtered.

Know that you are living in the Truth and the attacks you receive in His name should inspire you to…

Stay the course. Keep the faith. Endure.
