The Fattened Calf Awaits Your Return

From today’s reading…

But his father ordered his servants,

‘Quickly, bring the finest robe and put it on him;

put a ring on his finger and sandals on his feet.

Take the fattened calf and slaughter it.

Then let us celebrate with a feast,

because this son of mine was dead, and has come to life again;

he was lost, and has been found.’” Luke 15:22-24

In Micah 7 and Psalm 103 today we read how forgiving is the Lord, which leads us to the parable of the prodigal son as told by Jesus and written in Luke.

Like the father in Luke 15 today, God just wants us to wake up, realize how good we have it with Him, and return to Him seeking His forgiveness, love, and compassion.

Because doing so is the only way to…
