I will make of you a threshing sledge,
sharp, new, and double-edged,
To thresh the mountains and crush them,
to make the hills like chaff.
When you winnow them, the wind shall carry them off
and the storm shall scatter them.”
Every part of your smartphone, your watch, your flatscreen TV has a purpose. They don’t come with extra parts because they have been expertly-designed, they are complete, and every part is required so those devices function properly.
The same is true of the universe, which includes you and me.
It is complete and has been expertly-designed and masterfully-created.
You and I have a purpose. We are not extra or extraneous or leftover.
We are sharp, new, and double-edged.
When we accept our role and follow Mary’s example “Behold, I am the handmaid of the Lord. May it be done to me according to your word,” it becomes much easier to…
