‘So you must know that when you and Sarah were at prayer, it was I who offered your supplications before the glory of the Lord and who read them; so too when you were burying the dead.’” Tobit 12:12

Tobit encouraged Tobias to be generous, and Tobias listened to his father.

The angel Raphael reminded Tobias and Sarah, “Prayer with fasting and alms with uprightness are better than riches with iniquity.

Better to practise almsgiving than to hoard up gold” (v8).

Because they never hesitated to do the right thing, they were rewarded by God and the guardian angel He sent to help them, you, and me to…
