From today’s reading…
But during the night, the angel of the Lord opened the doors of the prison,
led them out, and said,
‘Go and take your place in the temple area,
and tell the people everything about this life.’”
Notice the Apostles did not have a “personal relationship with Jesus.”
They also were not “spiritual but not religious.”
They were like a vegan Crossfitter who watched the opening of “Game of Thrones” then drove in their Tesla to see “Avengers: Endgame,” started Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu , and their guy was drafted 1st in the NFL, all on the same day.
I mean, you couldn’t shut them up.
And where were they found? Where was their home? The temple. The holiest place in the city. The hub of community then, and the hub of community now. (Nah, the shopping mall is not the true hub of community, although it does feel like it on some days.)
Get fired up.
You have the Holy Spirit within you, so you are literally on fire.
Turn it loose and turn it up, because it’s the only way to…
