Stop Making Up The Rules

From today’s reading…

As far back as 2,300 years ago, the Law of Moses included 613 commandments and the Pharisees took umbrage with Jesus for not following any of them.

They felt they could work themselves into Heaven.

They did not understand the prophecies and how Jesus came to fulfill them. (Matt 5:17 and Luke 4:21)

We are called to obey and to follow the meaning of the laws.

We are to turn our hearts to the Lord, which requires no braggadocios claims, no pompous acts, no ritualistic cleaning for all to see.

In other words, talk is cheap. Follow in the footsteps of Jesus, because it’s the only way to…

Stay the course. Keep the faith. Endure.

Now go sell something.
