Stay Sober and Vigilant

From today’s reading…

The Devil makes scientists and physicians and statisticians and epidemiologists and virologists and reporters and politicians and internet trolls lazy, greedy, selfish, and vain. (The Devil does that to you and me, also.)

As such they are unprepared when emergencies strike, so they stall, delay, hide the truth, and/or just lie to protect their backsides.

When questioned/criticized they lash out like cornered/wounded animals, then double down on their lies. As long as they think their lies and vulnerabilities are tucked away they see anyone who is hurt or killed because of their failings as acceptable collateral damage.

As an honest, loving person not looking for trouble, not out to hurt anyone, just asking questions when things don’t make sense, you have put yourself in harm’s way without even knowing it.

We are surrounded by opponents prowling around in the clothing of allies. To them you are the enemy simply for being sober and vigilant, for not being evil, which is why you must…

Stay the course. Keep the faith. Endure.
