Skate To Where Jesus Is Going To Be

From today’s reading…

So she ran and went to Simon Peter

and to the other disciple whom Jesus loved, and told them,

‘They have taken the Lord from the tomb,

and we don’t know where they put him.’

So Peter and the other disciple went out and came to the tomb.”

John 20:2-3

Hockey great, Wayne Gretzky once said the secret to his success was

I skate to where the puck is going to be, not where it has been.”

Peter and the other apostle ran to where Jesus was and they believed. 

However, they were still afraid because they had not received the Holy Spirit, which is why they locked themselves in a room later in John 20.

This shows that believing is not enough. You must take action. You must set your fear aside. You must let the Holy Spirit into your life so it can move you to take decisive action to lead others to the Lord, because that’s the only way to…

Stay the course. Keep the faith. Endure.
