Shut Your Trap and Put Your Back Into It

From today’s reading…

For we are his handiwork, created in Christ Jesus for good works that God has prepared in advance, that we should live in them.”

You and I were made to work.

God, Himself, worked six days a week.

Adam, even before the fall, didn’t lounge around. He had to “cultivate and care for” the garden of Eden.

James reminds the “ignoramus, that faith without works is useless”.

This whole win-the-lottery-and-sit-on-your-rear or “cruise into the sunset” in our “golden years” is a bunch of piffle and pooh.

So give thanks for the ability to work. Put your back into it, even if you don’t like what you’re doing right now because the best way to find the work you love is to love the work you’ve been given.

Anyone can—and most do—complain about the hand they’ve been dealt.

Well, if you act, sound, smell, and whine like all of your co-workers you’ll be treated like them.

So shut up and get to work because it’s the only way to…

Stay the course. Keep the faith. Endure.
