Root Up and Tear Down

From today’s reading…

This day I set you

over nations and over kingdoms,

to root up and to tear down,

to destroy and to demolish,

to build and to plant.” Jeremiah 1:10

We see in Jeremiah today that God does not call the prepared, He prepares the called. In the same way Jeremiah was concerned about the message he received from God, so was Zechariah in Luke today.

But both men were “righteous in the eyes of God” (as was Elizabeth), and God delivered for them because they delivered the Word of God for God, which was not all unicorns and rainbows, nor was it an easy life.

That’s fine. We’re not called to an easy life. We’re called to…

Stay the course. Keep the faith. Endure.

Now go sell something.
