Remember The Rock That Begot You

From today’s reading…

You were unmindful of the Rock that begot you.

You forgot the God who gave you birth.

When the LORD saw this, he was filled with loathing

and anger toward his sons and daughters.” Deuteronomy 32:18-19

In other words:

  • Don’t forget from whence you came.

  • Don’t get too big fer ya britches.

  • Remember us little people when you’re rich and famous.

Notice how much interest the family ancestry programs have become the last 10 years or so? It’s literally in our DNA to be connected to family. We lose sight of that and allow the fleeting chaos of the material world to bog us and drag us down, which stirs in us a deeply forgotten yearning to spend our time and energy on what matters: family.

So we go in search of our roots, hopefully before it’s too late. Before too much damage has been done. Before we kicked too many butts on the way that we now have to kiss on the way back down!

Family is all that matters in life, and family starts with The First Family. No, not the one in the White House. The TRUE First Family. The First First Family. The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Always remember the Rock from when you came, because it’s the only way to…
