Proclaim To All Creation

From today’s reading…

Lastly, he showed himself to the Eleven themselves while they were at table. He reproached them for their incredulity and obstinacy, because they had refused to believe those who had seen him after he had risen. And he said to them, ‘Go out to the whole world; proclaim the gospel to all creation.’” Mark 16:14-15

For three years, Jesus turned water into wine, walked on water, raised the dead, restored sight to the blind, and made the winds obey Him, yet His closest disciples misunderstood His teachings and did not believe they had come true.

So who am I to get upset that people ignore, misunderstand, and/or attack me for my imperfect efforts to proclaim a perfect Gospel?

We’re not told to “convert all creation,” but to “proclaim the gospel to all creation.”

Jesus knows we can only lead a *horse(’s ass) to water, which is why He tells us to lead the world to water.

We’re not told to drown our horses and neighbors in that same water of Truth.

Understanding your calling and purpose will help you keep from pulling your hair out when fools parrot such drivel as

  • “Yo! I’m just speaking truth to power.”

  • “I don’t know about you, but I’m speaking my truth.”

  • “There is no right or wrong. There’s only a difference of perspective.”

The sheep are ignorant, lazy, and afraid, which is why they are incredulous and obstinate.

Love them anyway.

Proclaim the Truth to them regardless.

It’s the only way to…

Stay the course.Keep the faith.Endure.

Now go sell something.

*He really did say “horse’s ass,” but it went against Facebook community standards, so it was edited to just “horse.” I saw a Dateline episode on this, so I know it’s true. But I digress.
