Prepare To See Him As He Is

From today’s reading…

Beloved, we are God’s children now;

what we shall be has not yet been revealed.

We do know that when it is revealed we shall be like him,

for we shall see him as he is.”

Congratulations. You made the team. There’s no guarantee you’ll be a starter or that you’ll even get much playing time.

But you’re on the team.

Now you have to act like you’re on the team.

You have to conduct yourself according to the team’s code of conduct.

You have to practice with the team. Study the playbook. Stick to the curfew. Help your teammates get better as you get better.

Prepare to win.

Keep your head in the game.

Keep your eye on the prize.

And be ready to be called upon at a moment’s notice to step up and contribute.

In other words…

Stay the course. Keep the faith. Endure.
