Philip Brings Joy From Persecution

From today’s reading…

Now those who had been scattered went about preaching the word.

Thus Philip went down to the city of Samaria

and proclaimed the Christ to them.”

Stephen is buried today and Saul continues his persecution of believers in his effort to “destroy the Church.”

But when one door is closed in the Church, 100 more are opened.

Philip preached, crowds gathered and believed, the sick were healed, evil spirits were driven away, and

There was great joy in that city.”

God sees your suffering and He will bring good out of evil.

So offer up your hardships and tough times because it probably means you have taken the load off of someone incapable of carrying on any farther, which is what Jesus did for you and me. 

Stay the course. Keep the faith. Endure.
