Perfect Through Suffering

From today’s reading…

For it was fitting that he,

for whom and through whom all things exist,

in bringing many children to glory,

should make the leader to their salvation perfect through suffering.”

It’s been said that practice makes perfect.

Then it was amended to say perfect practice makes perfect.

If you’ve ever done anything long enough to perfect it you know that the practice took some amount of suffering on your part, whether it was developing callouses on your fingers as you played the guitar or sore muscles from running and weightlifting or skipping out on parties and the latest TV series to focus on your development.

To be passionate about something or to love someone means to suffer.

And in suffering you become like Christ.

Continue to walk in His footsteps and to suffer for those you love because it’s the only way to…

Stay the course. Keep the faith. Endure.
