Participate In Paul’s Partnership

From today’s reading…

I thank my God whenever I think of you, and every time I pray for you all, I always pray with joy for your partnership in the gospel from the very first day up to the present.” Philippians 1:3-5

Paul is in chains and is hard at “work defending and establishing the gospel.” He didn’t accept Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Savior and have an easy, bountiful life. If anything, his life got much harder and less comfortable when he allowed Jesus into his life.

And notice that he is working to defend and establish THE gospel. Not “his version” of the gospel as in “I’m living my truth.” He formed a partnership with his fellow Christians. ONE partnership to preach the ONE gospel of our ONE Lord. And he stuck with it even when it was difficult because there is only one Truth.

Seeking, finding, holding onto, defending, and sharing that one Truth is the only way to…

Stay the course. Keep the faith. Endure.

Now go sell something.
