One. One. One. One. And Only One

From today’s reading…

There is one Lord, one faith, one baptism, and one God and Father of all, over all, through all and within all.” Ephesians 4:5-6

Paul must think we are dumb, not paying attention, or that his message of ONE is important enough that he needs to pound it into our lazy, inattentive, vanity-filled brains chapter after chapter.

We talked about this just two days ago in chapter 3 and now we see it again in the very next chapter to the Ephesians.

When you seek to live “your” truth instead of searching for THE ONE Truth you are literally playing with fire. The eternal fire of hell.

If you had a child with a rare disease who needed the best treatment, you wouldn’t pick a doctor for her based on the music he plays in the office or the fact he has a popcorn machine in the lobby or he has nice hair and a soothing voice.

You’d go deeper. You’d study. You’d question. You’d research, leaving no stone unturned because the life of the precious child you love and adore would depend on it.

Well, your eternal life depends on you finding and living The One Truth, because finding it and living it is the only way to…

Stay the course. Keep the faith. Endure.

Now go sell something.
