In Matthew 10 today we hear Jesus teach the apostles that “Whoever receives a prophet because he is a prophet will receive a prophet’s reward.” Matthew 10:41

Couples who did not have a son in the age of Kings lived in great shame, so to bear a son at an older age would be seen as a great reward. A prophet’s reward.
