Multi-Tasking Is A Great Way To Die…Forever

From today’s reading…

“Adulterers!

Do you not know that to be a lover of the world means enmity with God?” James 4:4

Not too long ago doctors were recommending having a “fresh” cigarette to help you feel better and all the cool kids did it.

The influencers of today are recommending you build your tribe, your following, your brand by being on social media and all the cool kids are doing it.

Will our grandkids look back on us today and exclaim “You spent your time how? You spent how much money to get a…picture…on your phone? What were you thinking?”

To multi-task is to do two things poorly.

While it may not be a big deal to overcook the mac-n-cheese and miss a bit of the game (you can rewind it, right?) while you miss a spot on the rug with your vacuum (it LOOKS clean!), this does not apply to the state of your soul.

…but nothing unclean will enter it, nor any[one] who does abominable things or tells lies. Only those will enter whose names are written in the Lamb’s book of life.” Revelation 21:27

Who or what do you love?

If you’re not sure, take note of how you spend your time, your talent, and your treasure.

If it’s all spent on things that fade, rust, tear, shrink, or go out of style you may want to reevaluate and recalculate if you’re a lover of the world, which is no way to…

Stay the course. Keep the faith. Endure.

Now go sell something.
