Elijah was a powerful prophet. Probably the “best” if you’re looking to rank them, which is why this story in Sirach about Elijah matters.
He was

He did this with fire.
By the Lord’s word he shut up the heavens and three times brought down fire.”
You want to be on Team Elijah when the fire is brought down because even Jesus in today’s Gospel of Matthew equates Elijah with John the Baptist, and we all know how much Jesus loved His cousin, John.
