Love The Brother You See

From today’s reading…

…for whoever does not love a brother whom he has seen

cannot love God whom he has not seen.

This is the commandment we have from him:

Whoever loves God must also love his brother.”

We hold in our hands the power to literally see almost anyone on the planet at any given moment, yet we choose to block anyone that does not look, talk, or vote like us.

We choose to call them names, threaten them, even dox them in order to silence them—digitally or literally.

That is not love.

That is not what you were created to do.

That is not who you were created to be.

Since we are all imperfect, it is easy as pie to find what’s wrong with everyone you meet.

Stop taking the easy path.

Your body—including your brain and your heart—was literally built to improve and strengthen with usage.

So take the meaningful path of love.

It may not be easy at first, but ultimately it is the easy path because it’s the path God called you to follow.

Stay the course. Keep the faith. Endure.
