Let The Hand of the Lord Guide You

From today’s reading…

When he hesitated, the men, by the LORD’s mercy,

seized his hand and the hands of his wife and his two daughters

and led them to safety outside the city.”

The one who hesitated was Lot in Genesis 19, who had been instructed by the two angels of the Lord to leave Sodom before they destroyed it for being filled with corrupt, sinful people who did more than hesitate when they were given instructions by the Lord, they actively, willingly, and joyfully turned away from the guidance of the Lord.

Leaving everything behind is hard.

Turning from everything you know and placing your trust in Lord can create more than a little angst.

But understand and trust that a loving Father always recommends and encourages you to do what is in your best interest.

However, you and I have free will. 

Lot and his family could have resisted and pulled away from the angels of the Lord, but they allowed themselves to be led to safety.

Be like Lot and allow the Lord to send His angels to help you…

Stay the course. Keep the faith. Endure.
