From today’s reading…
When the LORD saw how great was man’s wickedness on earth,
and how no desire that his heart conceived
was ever anything but evil,
he regretted that he had made man on the earth,
and his heart was grieved.”
There’s a famous slogan/bumper sticker from back in the day that said “God don’t make no junk.”
Genesis 6 seems to indicate he might’ve thought he did.
There are a few things we can learn from today’s reading.
We are capable of evil things.
We have always been capable of evil things.
We must pay for the evil that we do.
One good person can change the course of the world.
You and I are frail, weak, and doubtful. So was Noah. He was not perfect. He was not born without original sin. But he chose to do the hard right instead of the easy wrong and…
Stay the course. Keep the faith. Endure.
