Barnabas and Saul were spiritual brothers on fire for the Lord who did more than plant seeds.

They tended and watered the soil. They scared off the birds, pulled the weeds, and stuck around to ensure the first harvest was strong and done correctly.

These were not carnival barkers, carpetbaggers, or snake oil salesman who got in and got out before their marks could figure out they’d been taken.

The early Church leaders got to know their communities and ensured the communities got to know the Good News, which is why we see…

And a large number of people was added to the Lord.

Sure, Tony Robbins can hit a lick in a week by staring down and cursing at you as you’re sleep-deprived and in need of a bathroom break, but that’s his learned (borrowed? stolen?) process to break your will and awaken the giant within.
