From today’s reading…

This is what she wrote in the letters:

‘Proclaim a fast and set Naboth at the head of the people.

Next, get two scoundrels to face him

and accuse him of having cursed God and king.

Then take him out and stone him to death.’” 1 Kings 21:9-10

Naboth was just minding his own business, trying to “live his best life,” but Jezebel wanted what she wanted.

Actually, she wanted her husband to have what he wanted, and since she was not a nice person she had no problem conspiring and killing an innocent man to get her way.

Why do bad things happen to good people? Because there are bad people in the world. Why does God allow bad people in the world? Because he gave us free will and we are weak when we do not…

Stay the course. Keep the faith. Endure.

Now go sell something.
