Lao Tzu said if you want to be at peace, be present. You know you are not present if you are anxious or depressed because you’re either living in the future or the past, respectively.
Bankruptcies, lawsuits, injuries, illnesses, Crossfit personal records, new cars just don’t matter.
Cosmetic surgeries, blue verifications, mentions in the press, being vegan, or eating meat just don’t matter.
The NFL, Supreme Court nominees, mid-term elections, the Grammy’s, the Academy Awards, Black Lives Matter, or the KKK just don’t matter.
You know what matters? The last line of the book of Ecclesiastes tells us…
The last word, when all is heard: Fear God and keep his commandments, for this concerns all humankind; because God will bring to judgment every work, with all its hidden qualities, whether good or bad.”
The press and attorneys and Senators and judges and accusers and cops and robbers and CEOs and professional athletes and the members of your HOA board will all be judged according to their work, which will all be revealed in the end.
So relax as you follow the commandments and become the best version of yourself, which is the only way to…
