From today’s reading…

Every branch in me that bears no fruit he cuts away, and every branch that does bear fruit he prunes to make it bear even more.” John 15:2

In my backyard, I have three fruit trees: lemon, peach, and pomegranate. (Maisy, the crazy lab, ATE my young orange tree a few years ago, but I digress.)

In my last house, we had an excellent grapevine.

All required pruning to maximize their growth and production.

God wants what’s best for you.

He wants to be fruitful and multiply, which requires regular pruning.

Embrace the pain and the suffering that comes with the pruning of your soul.

No pain, no gain, right?

Stay the course.Keep the faith.Endure.

Now go sell something.
