I Do The Evil I Do Not Want

From today’s reading…

Brothers and sisters:

I know that good does not dwell in me, that is, in my flesh.

The willing is ready at hand, but doing the good is not.

For I do not do the good I want,

but I do the evil I do not want.”

There’s a difference between losing your fear of one thing that may be holding you back versus becoming more courageous and more capable to handle and address whatever may come your way.

Those we admire are not those who have it easy but those who have it hard and yet persevere, such as family members who daily beat their demons to use and abuse alcohol.

To stumble is to be human. To be human is to stumble.

Paul is no different in his failings, and he shows us the means to courage and strength.

Who will deliver me from this mortal body? Thanks be to God through Jesus Christ our Lord.”

Listen to Paul. Hear his words. Follow his instructions to…

Stay the course. Keep the faith. Endure.
