I Am Sending You To The Bakery

From today’s reading…

I am sending you to Jesse of Bethlehem,

for I have chosen my king from among his sons.”

Yesterday we saw that Saul was rejected as King of Israel and today we see the Lord sending Samuel to Bethlehem, “House of Bread,” to select the new king, David, the son of Jesse.

So the youngest son in the smallest town in the smallest tribe of Israel is chosen as the new king. Sound familiar?

The Lord works in mysterious ways.

The Lord works on His own time.

The Lord is the alpha and the omega.

The Lord is the beginning and the end.

Today we read how nuanced, subtle, and insightful He is.

He provides clues to reassure us of all of the above.

All we must do is trust the process, trust in His wisdom, trust that He can make great things happen from small packages, so all we must do is…

Stay the course. Keep the faith. Endure.

Market like you mean it. Now go sell something.
