How To Get The Poison Out

From today’s reading…

Moses accordingly made a bronze serpent and mounted it on a pole,

and whenever anyone who had been bitten by a serpent

looked at the bronze serpent, he lived.” Numbers 21:9

Notice that God did not immediately remove the serpents when the grumbling Israelites repented. He simply provided a means to be healed.

Imagine one of the Israelites brought to his knees from a bite…crawling to find Moses…looking up to the symbol God designed to bring healing…asking to be healed…and receiving that healing.

Isn’t that what happened a couple of thousand years later when Jesus was raised upon the cross?

Isn’t that what continues to this day for you and me?

We are told to pick up our cross and follow Him.

We are led to the cross. We are told to humble ourselves, to look up God, to trust in His plan, to ask His forgiveness, and it will be given to us if we’ll only…

Stay the course. Keep the faith. Endure.

Now go sell something.
