How Has He Wearied You?

From today’s reading…

O my people, what have I done to you,

or how have I wearied you? Answer me!

For I brought you up from the land of Egypt,

from the place of slavery I released you;” Micah 6:3-4

We get on God’s last nerve sometimes. He gives us free will. He willingly frees us from slavery and oppression. He provides bountiful harvests. How do we repay Him? By turning our backs. By crafting idols and worshipping false gods. By griping and complaining if good things require work, effort, and planning.

It’s time to get quiet and ask yourself why you are so angry with, so distrustful of, so petty with God. Why are you so disobedient? Why do you think God doesn’t know what’s what but you in your frail, impetuous, reactive self do?

You know what you need to do. You know what needs to be done. You know all that’s asked of you is to…

Stay the course. Keep the faith. Endure.

Now go sell something.
