From today’s reading…
On the day the LORD binds up the wounds of his people,
he will heal the bruises left by his blows.”
The Lord does not sit back passively and observe the battles, the blows, and the wounds from a distance.
No. He leads from the front. He receives the worst of the punishments: the blows, the wounds, the scorn, the humiliation, and even death.
So He knows what it’s like to be wounded and bruised.
It’s foretold in Isaiah 30:26 as well as Psalms 147:3 today.
He also knows what it’s like to heal and comfort, which is the glorious future for all who…
