He Will Destroy Death Forever

From today’s reading…

Isaiah is still spitting truth bombs that are encouraging for followers and frightening for non-followers.

Secrecy and deceit and death were never what God wanted for us.

However, He gave us free will and He constantly does what He can to keep us on the path to Him without taking away our free will.

He does it by sending powerful prophets, giving priests, and loving laypeople to lead by example.

In today’s Gospel from Matthew, we also see Him sending His Son to go up the mountain near the Sea of Galilee to cure the sick and feed the hungry in a visible, obvious display of…power…love…powerful love?

From Isaiah to Matthew we see eyes being opened and life-giving bread being served on the mountain of God to all who follow Him and…
