He Hears Your Cries

From today’s reading…

In my distress I called upon the LORD

and cried out to my God;

From his temple he heard my voice,

and my cry to him reached his ears.” Psalms 18:7

My friend died yesterday of COVID-19. Terrell Young was a former Marine, 15-year veteran of the Riverside County Sheriff Department, husband, father of four, and faithful Christian.

Knowing how strong his faith was, I wonder if he even cried out in distress. If so, it was probably not for himself but for his family, which he loved with all his heart.

God listens to your prayers. He knows your fears. He hears your cries. He will hold you and your family in the palm of your hands.

Stay the course. Keep the faith. Endure.
