Hannah brought Samuel with her,…
and presented him at the temple of the LORD in Shiloh.
…She left Samuel there.”
Hannah was one of two wives of Elkanah and was barren and prayed for a son. She was so desperate to have a child she promised to return him to serve the Lord if she was blessed to conceive.
The high priest, Eli, heard her prayer and blessed her and she became the mother of Samuel.
Being true to her promise she returned him to the Lord.

The honor of keeping your word.
The blessings of children. (Hannah had three more sons and two daughters while Samuel was called three times by the Lord and came to known as a “trustworthy prophet.” [And he had two books in the Old Testament named after him!])
