Grow Up and Whisper

From today’s reading…

What comparison can I find for this generation? It is like children shouting to each other as they sit in the market place:” Matthew 11:16

In today’s Gospel reading Jesus doesn’t hold back in calling out the hypocrisy in all of us. We see it in the “elite” political “leaders” of today who, despite being repeatedly caught breaking their own COVID restrictions, continue receiving unwavering support from their followers and supporters who fawn all over them and hang on their every word and edict while defending them vociferously online.

We see it in the pious and self-righteous who harp and complain about the decline of society and the proliferation of pornography…on their own DVRs.

We see it in the “Cafeteria Catholics” who vote for pro-abortion candidates, donate to Planned Parenthood, push the LGBTQQIP2SAAABGBS2Cis3CCOFFTM/MTFGEGIGH2IOTMTW+8th-Gender-Alien agenda, don’t believe in the real presence of Christ in the Eucharist, call for women priests, yet still attend mass most Sundays and receive Communion like it’s their right.

When you were a child, it was understandable that you did childish things. But the world doesn’t need a bunch of 30 and 40 and 50-year-old children. It’s time for you to grow up, to study your faith, to understand what you say you believe, and walk your talk.

Better yet, stop talking and let your actions show everyone how to…

Stay the course. Keep the faith. Endure.

Now go sell something.
