Go Because You Know Like Theo

From today’s reading…

He presented himself alive to them

by many proofs after he had suffered,

appearing to them during forty days

and speaking about the kingdom of God.”

Luke opens his “second Gospel” by explaining to Theophilus how he covered “In the first book…all that Jesus did and taught until the day he was taken up.”

Luke reiterates how Jesus was quite public in the 40 days after His resurrection, encouraging the Apostles and disciples, instructing them, and connecting the dots for them.

Having so many witnesses who were able to minister to one another provided the solid foundation they  needed to successfully embark upon their mission to be His “witness…to the ends of the earth.”

Knowing that you are following in the footsteps of those who were there and actually broke bread with Jesus, saw His ascension, and received the Holy Spirit as one community should be enough to help you…

Stay the course. Keep the faith. Endure.
